Chapter Twenty-One

"How do I know that everything you've ever told me hasn't been a lie?" Luke was yelling when Ria walked in.

"Who the hell do you think you are?" Ria asked, directly behind Luke, startling him. He whirled around, blocking Laura's view of the girl the entire time.

"Excuse me?"

"Nobody, and I mean NOBODY has the right to talk to her that way! You take a few isolated facts, with perfectly reasonable excuses, and use them to question your wife's love for you? Unless you have a constructive reason for being here, I suggest you get the hell out of my sight before I get pissed off ."

"Who are you? I don't have to listen to you!"

"Oh no?" Ria pulled out a small handgun. Luke's eyes widened. "Maybe you'll listen to this. This is loaded and the safety's on right now, but that can change at any moment. I don't want to hurt anyone. In fact, I'll even give this to your wife over there, but I want you to get out of here!" Ria yelled, flipping her hair around with her free hand so it was covering her face while allowing her to see. Luke moved out of the way and Ria handed the gun to a very confused Laura.

"This isn't the end of our conversation!" Luke said, walking out the back door. Laura stared at the girl and placed the gun on the table next to her.

"Nik!" Ria cried, turning around and moving her long hair out of her face. Nikolas opened the door.

"Nikolas!" Laura cried.

"Is this her?" Ria asked him.

"What, did you not get a look at her face?" Ria smirked at him.

Then she took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She turned around.

"Hi. I'm Ria." Ria outstretched her hand and sort of smiled.

Nikolas watched as his mother's face worked through a thousand emotions, before finally settling on one. Laura reached out and pulled Ria close to her.

"My baby," Laura whispered.

Chapter Twenty-Two

Lucky opened his eyes to darkness. He groggily retrieved his cell phone reluctantly and dialed the number for his voice mail. He hadn't been in contact with anyone except brief calls to Elizabeth for three days. Ever since he found out--- Lucky shook his head and pushed in his code numbers.

"You have six new messages." the annoying voice mail voice said.

"Hey, it's Nikolas. Ria met Mom. It went really well. Lulu is getting really big, I had a chance to see her before we left. Call me when you have news about Part Two."

BEEP

"Lucky? It's Ria. Call me ASAP."

BEEP

"Lucky, honey, it's Mom. Please call me. We have to talk."

BEEP

"Nikolas again. It's been twenty-four hours since we spoke. Where are you? Call me, regardless of info!"

BEEP

"Lucky, It's Nikolas. If you don't call me, I'm gonna start looking for you. CALL ME!"

BEEP

"If you're getting this, call me, Nikolas, your brother. I'm coming to visit tomorrow if you don't!"

BEEP

"No More Messages." the voice mail voice said. Lucky hung up the phone.

Suddenly someone started pounding on the door. Lucky staggered over and opened it.

"Where the hell have you been?" Nikolas asked, not even really looking at his brother as he barged in.

"Here." Lucky replied raspily. Nikolas looked at him in shock.

"You look horrible! What happened to you?" Lucky's eyes were bloodshot and his voice was hoarse and he looked pale.

"Pulled a couple all-nighters researching part two and then I didn't like what I found."

"What did you find?" Lucky sighed and shut the door.

"First of all, I've got two other aunts I didn't even know about."

"Two? That's practically Cassadine - worthy."

"Don't go there. The first one is my father's half-sister. Her name was Kristy Nea-Lison. They shared the same mother, Margaret Lorenzo Nea, but Kristy's father was Joseph Lison. Kristy was ten, eleven, something like that years older than my father. Now Margaret Nea divorced Joseph and remarried to a man named Robert Lucas Spencer. They had three children, Lucas Lorenzo, Barbara Jean, who was five years younger than Lucas, and Sarah Margaret, who was three years younger than Barbara."

"Barbara Jean is Bobbie and Lucas Lorenzo is Luke, right?"

"Yeah. So, anyway, Robert's first wife had this weird name and he called her Rose. She was sort of obsessed with him so when he left her, she went nuts. She remarried, though, and had some kids with her new husband, but never forgave Robert. After carefully planning and plotting, Rose tried to kill Robert's entire family. She succeeded in killing Margaret and Robert. She thought she had killed Sarah, but Kristy had taken Sarah into her care. Luke and Bobbie, instead of going to an orphanage, ran away. They both thought Sarah was dead." Lucky sighed again before restarting. "Kristy had moved to Europe, but instead of going by Kristy Nea-Lison, she shortened her last name and went by her full first name, Kristen Nillson."

"Kristen Nillson?"

"The one and only. She had, by the time Sarah joined her, changed her name to Kristen Bergman and was involved with a man named-"

"Mikkos Cassadine," Nikolas groaned. Lucky smiled grimly.

"Instead of risking Sarah's life, she changed the girl's name to Natasha. Now as you probably know, Helena found out where Kristen was and killed her. Mikkos took Natasha, who Helena assumed was his daughter, and arranged for her to live with them under the name of Alexis Davidovich, or Davis, as she now goes by." Nikolas ran his hands through his hair.

"Whatever happened to Rose?" Lucky groaned, not really wanting to continue.

"She's still alive. Only now she goes by Helena Roskovich Cassadine."

Ria yawned and opened her eyes. She sat up in the large bed and wondered where she was. She glanced around the room, dumbfounded for a few moments. Then she realized where she was. She stood up and stretched, letting her long hair out of its casual braid that she slept in. She opened the door and tiptoed down the hardwood floored hall and eased herself down the stairs.

Laura strummed her fingers on the kitchen table. She was on the phone - sort of. Her face lit up.

"Lucky! It's - hello?" Laura slammed the phone down, her face falling. She looked up to see Ria standing in the doorway.

"Morning. Lemme guess, baby brother won't talk to you?" Ria asked rhetorically, sitting down next to her mother at the table.

"Bingo." Laura sighed. "Every time I call him, if he answers the phone, he hangs up on me!"

"He's answering his phone again?" Ria smiled. "Nikolas is probably over there." She reached her hand out. "Let me call him."

| | | | | | | | | | | |

"WHAT???" Lucky yelled into the phone as he answered it.

"Oh, that's a nice greeting!"

"Ria?"

"The one and only! Listen, put Nik on, will you?"

"How did you-"

"I just got off the phone with my psychic, Dionne Warwick."

"Funny."

"Thank you. Just put him on, 'kay?" Ria drummed her fingers on the table. Laura caught her eye and Ria realized that Laura had been drumming her fingers on the table in the exact same way a few moments earlier.

"Ria? Where are you?"

"Over the river and through the woods." Ria replied.

"You're at Wyndemere?"

"No! Don't you know that song? 'Over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go?'"

"No. Wait! Grandmother's house? Are you INSANE?"

"Other grandmother, Nikky boy."

"Oh. You're still there?"

"Yep. Can you do me a favor? Give my dear baby brother a smack upside his dense head and remind him that Laura hasn't done anything, OK?" Ria began to laugh as she heard Lucky's 'Hey! What was that for?'.

"Ria!"

"Hiya, Luckster."

"Why did you tell Nikolas to hit me?"

"Oh, stop whining! You're acting like a brat. Which is fine! Just act like one to the right person! Now, I'm gonna put Laura on-"

"But-"

"AND! If you hang up on her, I'm going to come up to New York and beat your ass."

"Ria, you can't beat me up."

"Ask Nikolas what happens when I get kinda mad, OK? Now, without further adieu, here's your Momma!" Ria handed the phone to Laura, who was sitting there with a half-shocked, half-amused expression on her face.

"Hello?"

Chapter Twenty-Three

"Nikolas?" Lucky asked as he hung up the phone.

"What?"

"What happens when Ria gets 'kinda mad'?" Lucky asked. Nikolas began to laugh.

"Sit down, I haven't told you what happened when we went to North Carolina!" Nikolas replied.

"What happened in North Carolina?" Lucky asked.

"Well, when we got to Laura's house, your father was there. We could hear him and Laura arguing. Anyway, Luke basically accused Laura of lying about loving him or something. Laura said that she lied to protect her life or her children's lives, and then Luke said Convenient, isn't it?'." Nikolas began to laugh.

"Great, Luke's snapped. Why are you laughing?"

"Ria said 'That's it' and she ran inside and started yelling at Luke, asking him who he thought he was and saying nobody had a right to talk to Laura that way, but poor Laura couldn't see Ria. She just saw Luke and somebody yelling. Then Ria told Luke to get out and Luke said he didn't have to listen to her and Ria pulled a gun on him!"

"WHAT?"

"She told Luke that she'd give Laura the gun, but she wanted him to leave. She said that it was loaded and the safety was on, but that could change!"

"What happened?"

"Luke left." Nikolas stopped laughing. "The plan is getting complicated, Lucky. I hope we haven't gotten in over our heads."

| | | | | | | | | | | |

"Emily!" Emily turned around. She spotted Elizabeth walking quickly towards her.

"Hey, Liz. How are you?"

"Pretty good, considering. I hadn't had the chance to thank you!"

"For what?"

"For letting Lucky stay in the gatehouse! He told me he wouldn't, but still, I was afraid he'd, you know, vanish on me." Emily smiled knowingly.

"I really don't think he'd do that."

"Why are you smiling like that?" Elizabeth asked self-consciously.

"Liz, I've known Lucky for, like, three years."

"Yeah. So?"

"I think he likes you!" Emily replied in a sing-song voice.

"What? What makes you say that?" Elizabeth asked, avoiding Emily's eye.

"He's the master of vanishing acts, but he calls you every day!"

"That's just because of, you know. I think he just feels protective of me because of that."

"Oh, OK!" Emily replied.

"Really!" Elizabeth protested.

"Don't say I didn't warn you!" Emily replied. "Lucky and Lizzie, sitting in a tree-"

"Emily!"

"Hey! You guys both have those L names, like his parents!"

"Em, don't ever mention that to Lucky!"

"What? Why-"

"Don't ever mention any similarities between us and his parents! Especially not to him."

Chapter Twenty-Four

"What do you mean we're in over our heads?" Lucky asked his brother.

"Your father sounded really mad. Something set him off between when he found out and when Ria and I saw him. Too many factors have come in to play."

"He probably just got angrier once he saw her or something."

"No. He said something. Something strange..."

"No secrets, remember?"

"Yeah. Well, when they were arguing, Laura told him that it was all in the past and it didn't change the present and it didn't make any difference now. Then your father, he, he said he wasn't sure that it was in the past."

"What?!"

"That's what Laura said. Then Luke said that Stefan obviously still feels the same way and that he didn't know whether she did."

"What did he mean, Stefan still feels the same way?"

"I don't know. There's something strange going on here. Plus we've got Ria to worry about now. Did you know that she was raised by Janna Cassadine?"

"No! But, can't she take over from Helena? I mean, she has the birthright, not Helena, right?"

"Yes, but Janna's dead. Ria was told on the night of Janna's funeral."

"Who told her?"

"I don't know. When she first showed up at the meeting, she was introduced as V Ardanowski's sister."

"Who?"

"The assistant of Jasper Jacks. She showed up in Port Charles about a year or so ago. She does the business dealings with my uncl- Stefan."

"Oh, her. She's friends with Felicia and Mac, right?"

"I don't know. But what I'm wondering is how did she get mixed into all of this?"

"Alexis Davis' office."

"Hello, is Miss Davis in, please?"

"I'm sorry she's on vacation. Would you care to leave a message on her voice mail?"

"No, thank you."

Chapter Twenty-Five

"Hello? This better be important!"

"Alexis?"

"Yes? Who is this?"

"It's Anda."

"Anda?" Alexis sat bolt upright, picking up the phone and shutting off the speaker phone.

"I thought you should know that Ria knows."

"What?"

"And Nikolas does too."

"You told Nikolas?!"

"No. Apparently, a Lucky Spencer found out and told Nikolas."

"He would."

"Anyway. I also have some, uh, interesting news."

"Really?"

"Ria's uncle is her father."

"Excuse me? Does - do Ria and Nikolas know?"

"They told me!"

"You? They know about you?"

"Actually, Ria told V who told me. Did you know that V is working for Jax?"

"Yes. But, does Stefan know that they know?"

"I'm not sure. I haven't been in contact with him in a while."

"OK. I should get back to Port Charles. Thank you, Anda!"

"No problem. Oh, and by the way, your receptionist is kind of rude."

"I'll fire her then."

"Thanks!"

"I'm kidding. You're the rude one."

"I know. Goodbye, Alexis."

"Bye, Anda."

Luke stared out the window, waiting for the day to end. Someone sat down next to him, but he didn't turn around. He really didn't feel like dealing with anyone today. He probably shouldn't have even opened the club.

"Well, well, well, Mr. Spencer. What a coincidence seein' you!" someone said in a soft Southern accent. Luke turned around. He recognized the girl who had pulled a gun on him.

"What no gun this time?"

"No, I left it for Lesley Lu to play with." Ria replied dryly, in her normal voice.

"No doubt. What do you want with my family anyway?"

"What? The all-powerful Luke Spencer has not figured it out yet? My, my, my! What would people think?" Ria asked in a French accent. Luke's eyes widened.

"You're that girl who was over at Count Vlad's, aren't ya?"

"Now I know where Lucky got that charming aphorism from." Ria replied under her breath in her normal voice.

"Wait a second. You know my kid?"

"Is the education over here that bad? Geez, you people can't figure anything out! Let me make nice and simple for you, OK?"

"I know who you are. But Lucky and Cassadines really don't mix well, Valéria."

"Ria. Valéria sounds like something that needs penicillin. It's Ria, well until you can come up with some other charming nickname for me." Luke raised an eyebrow. "Let me think, what would be a suitable nickname for the daughter of Count Chocula?" Ria asked, in a Bela Lugsi accent.

"Count Chocula? I like the name, but what's with all the accents, darlin'?"

"Simple. It makes you harder to track. Someone's looking for-" Ria began to speak in a French accent "-a dark-haired, dark eyed French girl, you dye your hair blonde, tack on a fake nose or chin, put in some blue contacts and-" Ria switched from French to English "-use a bloody English accent!"

"Are you sure you're Steffin's kid?" Luke asked, amazed at how different she was from all the Cassadines.

"That's what they told me. Maybe it's just the island that drives everyone nutso. Wouldn't know. Never been there."

"You're lucky."

"No kidding. Oh, you want final proof that it's not who you parents are, but who you grow up with?"

"Shoot." Luke replied, thinking 'this should be interesting'. Ria reached into her pocket and handed Luke a cigar. He raised an eyebrow, a half-smile on his face.

"Congratulations, Mr. Spencer. You have twins." Luke's smile vanished.
